Special Undergraduate Programs

The State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS), through the Office of Undergraduate Teaching (PROGRAD), participates in various academic and formative programs. These programs are offered independently or in partnership with state or federal governments in specially organized classes for Undergraduate Programs. Additionally, UEFS proposes and coordinates programs to enhance the professional education of students.

National Plan for the Training of Basic Education Teachers - PARFOR

Committed to contributing to the promotion of quality public education, UEFS has established partnerships with the State Government (SEC/Instituto Anísio Teixeira) – PROFORMA, and with the Federal Government (CAPES) – PARFOR. These partnerships have enabled the offering of Teacher Education classes in Arts, Biological Sciences, Physical Education, Physics, Vernacular Literature, Literature with Spanish, Literature with English, Mathematics, and Pedagogy. Currently, the PARFOR offers the Pedagogy Teacher Education Program at the Itiruçu Campus.

Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarship - PIBID

The PIBID program, organized by CAPES/MEC, has the fundamental goal of promoting the initiation into teaching for students enrolled in Teacher Education Programs at Public Higher Education Institutions. It aims to increase the interaction of these students with the daily school environment, engaging them in the teaching profession through creative and diverse experiences. This program encourages the development of their professional profile and their commitment to teaching.

Institutional Program for Pedagogical Residency - PRP

The PRP program, also organized by CAPES/MEC, aims to contribute to the education of students who are already in the second half of their Teacher Education Programs. This is achieved through the development of projects that strengthen the practical aspect of their education and enable them to actively practice the relationship between theory and professional teaching practice.

Program for Academic Formation and Contextualization of Educational Experiences - ProFACE

Linked to the Office of Undergraduate Teaching, ProFACE is part of the professional development and training policy for faculty members at the State University of Feira de Santana. Established in December 2014, the Program has been guided by a set of principles, references, and objectives aimed at addressing the specific educational needs of “being a university professor.”

The main objective of ProFACE is to promote the training and professional development of faculty members within contexts that are meaningful to them, contextualizing their practices and enhancing the training proposals that are already developed by various Departments and Boards. It provides pedagogical support in all necessary aspects.

Open University of Brazil - UAB

The Open University of Brazil (UAB), a program funded by CAPES, is a system integrated by public universities that offers higher education courses of a semi-presential nature for segments of the population who face difficulty in accessing university education.

The Teacher Education Programs in Portuguese Language and Literature – Distance Learning (EaD) and Pedagogy – Distance Learning (EaD) are currently active, both offered specially at the Rio Real Campus. It’s worth noting that a similar offering was completed at the Pintadas Campus.
