Student Retention and Student Assistance

Student Retention and Assistance, at the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS), are outlined in the Student Assistance Program (PAE), which was established by Resolution CONSEPE No. 50/2018 (DOE 19/04/2018). The PAE aims to improve students’ academic performance and reduce inequality of opportunities by providing housing, meals, and financial aid.

In addition to material support, the Program also addresses psycho-pedagogical and social aspects of student assistance by offering supplementary courses and providing psychosocial and pedagogical support to these students. The program also supports cultural and sports events organized by Student Entities.

The PAE policies include:

I – University Residences;
II – University Restaurant;
III – Residence Aid;
IV – Persistence Aid*;
V – Emergency Aid*;
VI – Support to Students and Student Entities;
VII – Psychosocial, Pedagogical, Clinical, and Ambulatory Support;
VIII – Support for Cultural, Sports, and Recreational Activities.

*Assistance programs in the process of regulation by the Higher Councils of UEFS.

he Pro-Rectorate for Affirmative Policies and Student Affairs (PROPAAE) also carries out the necessary procedures to ensure that the State Government’s Student Retention Program, “Programa Mais Futuro,” reaches the students.

To access the student retention and/or assistance policies at UEFS, students need to meet the criteria outlined in the Resolutions of the PAE components, stay informed on the PROPAAE webpage, read the current announcements, and participate in the selection processes.
